Azeri Light crude prices rise on global markets
Azerbaijani crude oil prices saw a notable increase on Friday, following broader trends in the international energy markets. The price of "Azeri Light" (CIF) at the Italian port of Augusta rose by $1.19, or approximately 1.8%, reaching $68.12 per barrel.
Similarly, at the Turkish port of Ceyhan, the FOB price for "Azeri Light" grew by $1.13 to settle at $66.64 per barrel.
The upward movement comes as global benchmarks, including Brent and Urals, show signs of recovery amid shifting geopolitical dynamics. Market experts note that current prices remain above the $65 per barrel average used for Azerbaijan's 2026 state budget calculations.
