Azerbaijan, NATO discuss prospects for cooperation

 Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with NATO Deputy Secretary General Radmila Shekerinska, the foreign ministry said.

The talks focused on the current agenda and future prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and NATO within existing partnership frameworks, as well as regional and international security issues.

The sides highlighted the importance of cooperation in areas such as demining, cybersecurity and defence reforms, and praised Azerbaijan’s contribution to NATO-led peacekeeping missions, including support for efforts in Afghanistan. They also discussed the Azerbaijan–Armenia normalisation process and regional transport and connectivity projects.
