Investment opportunities discussed for five oil and gas fields in Azerbaijan

Investment and operational opportunities for five oil and gas fields in Azerbaijan were discussed at a meeting of the steering committee involving SOCAR and GL Group, Report cited GL Group as saying.

The meeting reviewed the implementation of 2025 work programmes and budgets, as well as plans for 2026, of operating companies Salyan Oil Ltd and Taghiyev Operating Company, which operate the Kursangi, Garabaghly, Buzovna–Mashtaga, Gala and Zira fields.

The talks were led by GL Group CEO Asif Zeynalov and SOCAR Vice President Babek Huseynov. Participants also visited several production sites during the trip.

According to the statement, the discussions are seen as important for expanding strategic cooperation between SOCAR and GL Group, boosting operational efficiency and ensuring the sustainable development of joint projects.
