Snow, icy roads and wind forecast for Wednesday
Intermittent precipitation is expected in Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula on Wednesday, February 11. Wet snow and snowfall are forecast overnight and in the morning in some areas, the National Hydrometeorology Service said.
A north-easterly wind will turn south-easterly during the day. Overnight temperatures will range from -1°C to +2°C, rising to 2–5°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure is expected to fall from 767 to 762 mmHg, while relative humidity will stand at 70–80%.
Icy conditions are possible on some roads overnight and in the morning.
In other regions of Azerbaijan, precipitation and snowfall are expected in places, with locally heavy falls. Fog is possible, with a moderate westerly wind. Night-time temperatures will range from -2°C to +2°C, daytime temperatures from 3–6°C. In mountainous areas, temperatures will fall to -5°C to -10°C at night, and to -10°C to -15°C in high-altitude areas, with daytime temperatures between 0°C and -5°C.
