Azerbaijan emergency services rescue 50 people over past week, six dead

Fövqəladə Hallar Nazirliyi said emergency response operations over the past week resulted in the rescue of 50 people, while six others died in various incidents.

According to the ministry, responses were carried out following calls received through its “112” hotline. During the reporting period, relevant services responded to 191 fire incidents, 39 cases of people trapped in helpless situations, and conducted rescue operations at two road traffic accidents.

Authorities said prompt emergency measures ensured the rapid extinguishing of fires and helped save lives.

Overall, during the period, 50 people — including 12 minors — were rescued, five people were injured, and 39 people were evacuated, while six fatalities were recorded.
