Azerbaijan records 59 new crimes on Feb. 25

Azerbaijani authorities registered 59 new criminal cases across the country on Feb. 25, along with two cases carried over from previous periods, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan reported.

A total of 117 individuals wanted by law enforcement were detained, including 92 handed over to authorities as debtors.

Authorities also recorded 40 drug-related cases and 15 involving illegal weapons and ammunition, with 60 suspects taken into custody.

Police operations contributed to the successful registration and investigation of these crimes, the ministry said.
