Barcelona set to extend captain Raphinha's contract with record €27m salary

Barcelona are preparing to extend the contract of team captain Raphinha, Spanish outlet El Nacional reported.

The Brazilian winger's current agreement runs until the summer of 2028, with both parties planning a one-year extension through 2029. Under the revised terms, the 29-year-old forward will earn an annual salary of €27 million, making him the highest-paid player across the Catalan club's squad.

Barcelona signed the Brazilian international from English Premier League side Leeds United in the summer of 2022 in a deal valued at €58 million.
