SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf Summits Mount Everest

The President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), Rovshan Najaf, has been documented among the mountaineers to successfully summit Mount Everest. The official record appears in The Himalayan Database archive hosted by High Adventure Expeditions.

According to registry details, Najaf reached the summit of Everest on May 18, 2025. The database lists him as Rovshan Najaf, a 43-year-old citizen of Azerbaijan, with his professional affiliation designated as "government." The ascent was completed via the South Col and Southeast Ridge route. Rovshan Najaf has served as the President of SOCAR since July 21, 2022.
