Azerbaijan Streamlines Finance Ministry Role Over Major State Companies' Budgets

President Ilham Aliyev has abolished the Ministry of Finance's obligation to operate as the secretariat for the Commission on Revenue and Expenditure Estimates of Major State-Owned Enterprises. The head of state signed an official decree amending the "Regulations on the Ministry of Finance," originally approved in February 2009.

Under the decree, the specific clause designating secretarial responsibilities for the enterprise budget commission to the Ministry has been formally repealed. The structural revision aligns with institutional efforts to streamline state asset oversight and optimize regulatory functions governing public corporate finances.
