BP: ACG production down in 2013, Shah Deniz output up
The Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) deposit in Azerbaijan’s section of the Caspian Sea produced 32.2 million tons of oil last year, down from 32.9 million tons in 2012, the BP office in Baku, the Azeri capital, said today.
ACG also produced about 2.2 billion cubic meters of associated gas, down from 3.4 billion cubic meters. The fuel was supplied to Azerbaijan state oil company Socar for free, BP said.
The Shah Deniz gas and condensate field, off the Azerbaijani coast, delivered 9.8 billion cubic meters of gas and 2.5 million tons of condensate. That compares with 7.73 billion cubic meters of gas and 2 million tons of condensate produced last year, the UK company said.
Partners in the BP-led ACG and Shah Deniz projects include Socar, Total, Lukoil, Chevron, ExxonMobil, Statoil, Turkiye Petrolleri, Itochu and ONGC Videsh.
