Member of Azerbaijan’s national chess team Vugar Hashimov has died.According to Apasport.az website, the Grandmaster, who has been receiving treatment for a long time, has died this night at Heidelberg clinic, Germany. Hashimov was expected to join the tournaments from this year. However, the chess player died unexpectedly from brain tumor. Vugar Hashimov was born on July 24, 1986 in Baku. He is three times Azerbaijani national chess champion. He played in the gold medal-winning Azerbaijani team at the European Team Chess Championship in Novi Sad in 2009 and became winner of Reggio Emilia chess tournament in 2011. ANN.Az
