Suarez and Adebayor tear it up

Suarez and Adebayor tear it up

After the latest round of Premier League action, we bring you our pick of the best players on display in the English top flight. And to give you a flavour of how their performances were viewed across the land, we have also included tweets from journalists and punters alike.GK: Vito Mannone, for Sunderland against Norwich (7/10): He made the saves asked of him. He stood out as competent in a realm of incompetence and claimed a deserved clean sheet.RB: Seamus Coleman, for Everton against Swansea (9/10): He was one of the few players on the pitch to make you think something would happen in a drab first half. His lung-bursting runs down the right grew more frequent and more dangerous after the interval, with one of them leading to a great opening goal.CB: Sylvain Distin, for Everton against Swansea (8/10): Was almost unbeatable in the air, proved vital for the visitors as the Swans looked to control an otherwise-dull first half, and rendered Wilfried Bony useless. Can you believe he's just turned 36?John Terry, for Chelsea against Arsenal (8/10): Arsenal only had two shots on goal, and a big part of that was the Chelsea captain, who capped a fine performance by denying Giroud in the closing stages.LB: Cesar Azpilicueta, for Chelsea against Arsenal (7/10): Another key component of Jose Mourinho's stubborn back line at Arsenal - the Spaniard again puts in a tidy shift out of his natural position on the opposite side.RM: Adam Lallana, for Southampton against Tottenham (9/10): Lallana's goal-and-assist performance cannot be buried underneath Adebayor's return to form, just because the striker's performance was the most surprising of the two. Did not deserve to be on the losing side.CM: Phil Jones, for Man United against West Ham (8/10): A dominant performance in central midfield, as Jones continually broke up attacks and launched counters with surging runs. Is this his best position?CM: Yohan Cabaye, for Newcastle against Crystal Palace (8/10): Newcastle's midfield strangled the life out of Palace, and Cabaye was at the heart of it - as well as being consistently the most dangerous man in the box for his side.LM: David Silva, for Man City against Fulham (8/10): It often took more than one defender at a time to keep the Spaniard out of the Fulham box, but he and compatriot Negredo would not be denied a big influence on the outcome. Kept at it even when Fulham took over the game and pegged City back.ST: Emmanuel Adebayor, for Tottenham against Southampton (9/10): What a week of redemption for the striker under Tim Sherwood. His match-winning brace at St Mary's tops the volley he scored against West Ham. All three goals were excellent, mind you.ST: Luis Suarez, for Liverpool against Cardiff (9/10): Two goals and an assist, all of which were fantastic. Simply unplayable at the moment, a one-man match-winner and the chief reason Liverpool fans suddenly want to discuss football with their rival-supporting friends again.(uk.eurosport.yahoo.com)ANN.Az
