Azeri parliament approves state budget for 2014

Milli Maclis, orparliament, today approved the draft state budget for next year with 102 votesfor and two against.

Samir Sharifov, minister offinance, said budget revenue is forecast at 18.38 billion manat, or 31.4percent of gross domestic product. It will be 4 percent less than this year’sbudget revenue.

Budget spending is expected at 20.06 billion manat, 1.1 percent up from this year. 

Revenue of the consolidatedbudget is forecast at 21.98 billion, up 6.1 percent. Spendingwillbe24.4billion, down 0.2 percent.
