Azeri fans send glasses to Czech referee of Qarabag-Inter match

Despite its enthusiastic efforts, the Azerbaijani team made a goalless draw with Internazionale in the main time and missed the chance of becoming the first Azerbaijani club to reach the knockout stage at the European football contest when Czech referee dashed Qarabag’s goal during the last seconds of the additional time.

Being loyal fans of FC Qarabag, members of the Azerbaijan Student Network travelled to Salzburg to support their team. They decided to express their stance and opinion on the "fair” refereeing in this game. On Friday, December 12, ASN sent a parcel to the Football Association of the Czech Republic, asking its General Secretary Mr. Rudolf Řepka to present Michal Zelenka, the Czech referee of the match, enclosed optical glasses specifically bought for him. İn the letter, ASN expressed the hope that perhaps the glasses will help him better see matches in future.
