Baku: Armenia again seeking to block negotiations
"His contradictory comments, the Armenian foreign minister again showed the international community who actually blocks the establishment of peace and security in the region”.
Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hikmet Hajiyev made the above statement while commenting on what Armenian FM Edward Nalbandyan had said at the meeting with the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, APA reported.
H. Hajiyev noted that all responsibility for the ongoing spiral of tension lies entirely on the Armenian leadership.
"The aforesaid "Nagorno-Karabakh” never participated in any of the rounds of talks on the development of basic principles. It is obvious that the Armenian side is once again trying all possible means to block the beginning of substantive negotiations,” he said.
Nalbandyan at his meeting with the co-chairs touched upon Baku’s proposal to begin working on a peace agreement, claiming the ambition here is to damage negotiations around the basic regulation principles: "We can begin working on a peace deal in case an agreement in line with the basic principles is achieved and "NK’ comes to terms”.
