Iran ready to guarantee peaceful nuclear programme — foreign minister

Iran is prepared to guarantee that its nuclear programme will remain entirely peaceful in exchange for the lifting of sanctions, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said.

In an interview with Fox News, Araghchi was asked what concessions Tehran would be willing to make to return to negotiations while facing threats of military action from Israel and the United States.

“We can guarantee the peaceful nature of our nuclear programme and ensure that it will always remain peaceful. In return, we expect sanctions to be lifted,” he said.
