Court penalizes Khadija Ismayilova

The court on Monday held a hearing based on the lawsuit brought by Elman Hasanov (Turkoglu), who is being held at the Baku Investigative Isolator, against Khadija Ismayilova.
Under the court decision, Khadija Ismayilova was fined AZN 2,500, Attorney Fariz Namazli told APA.
E. Turkoglu appealed to the Binagadi District Court, claiming that Khadija Ismayilova had insulted his dignity and disseminated slanderous information on Facebook.
The hearing took place at the isolator as Khadija Ismayilova is in prison.
K. Ismayilova was imprisoned on December 5, 2014. She is convicted under the Criminal Code’s articles 125 (brining to suicide), 179.3.2 (Appropriation or waste), etc.
