Theme of Khojaly genocide becomes major in Twitter

The discussion of the many events held in the framework of the campaign "Justice for Khojaly!" both in Azerbaijan and around the world, significantly affect the subjects of  Twitter microblog.

AzerTag reports that as a result of the study, it was determined that in at 15:00-18:00 hours on February 26 the topic of the Khojaly genocide was the most discussed in Twitter and most shared by users. The theme of the Khojaly genocide took first place in the Top Trend Twitter. It is evidence that millions of Twitter users expressed their attitude to the tragedy. The theme of the Khojaly genocide reached a record limit on the number of "retwit".

 

Persons expressing attitude to the topic of the Khojaly genocide in social networks in previous years, were mostly citizens of Azerbaijan and Turkey, as well as Azerbaijanis and Turks living in different countries. This year, a significant portion of users Twitter - the citizens of different countries were especially active in the discussion of this topic. Commenting on the Khojaly genocide, Twitter users categorically condemned the atrocities committed by Armenians against Azerbaijanis. Many commentators noted that the Khojaly genocide recognized by authoritative international organizations who have given a legal assessment of the tragedy.
