Azerbaijani lawmakers visit China

The delegation included the head of the Working Group on Azerbaijani-Chinese Inter-Parliamentary Ties, Siyavush Novruzov; the chairman of the Agrarian Policy Committee, Eldar Ibrahimov; the head of the Social Policy Committee, Hadi Rajabli, MPs Javanshir Pashazade, Huseynbala Miralamov, Aliaga Huseynov and Khanlar Fatiyev.

The sides hailed Azerbaijani-Chinese relations as friendly, and noted that the heads of states open new opportunities for developing the bilateral ties.

The Azerbaijani delegation praised China`s backing the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, and its support for the country in the independence years.

The delegation noted that Azerbaijan supported one-China policy and considered unacceptability any intervention in internal issues of the country.

The sides stressed the role of Silk Road in developing historic relations between the two countries.

They also praised cooperation between the two countries` legislative bodies and ruling parties.

The parties exchanged views on political, economic, humanitarian issues between Azerbaijan and China.

As part of the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation also met Vice-Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee Zhou Li.
