Messi becomes all-time Champions League top scorer

Lionel Messi's double against Bayern Munich not only ensured Barcelona stuck one proverbial foot in the final - but also saw him leap above rival Cristiano Ronaldo as the Champions League's all-time top scorer.
It appears to be a case of 'whatever you can do, I can do better' in the battle between Messi and Ronaldo.
Real Madrid ace Ronaldo overtook Messi on Tuesday night by scoring his 76th goal in Europe's prestigious competition during his side's 2-1 defeat at the Juventus Stadium.
However Messi went one better than Ronaldo by firing a double past the highly impressive Manuel Neuer to take his tally up to 77.
Messi netted the opening goal of Barcelona's 3-0 win over Bayern Munich from outside the box, while his second saw him cut open Pep Guardiola's defence before lobbing the ball over Neuer.
Both players will have the chance to add to their respective tallies next week when Real Madrid host Juventus at the Santiago Bernabeu and Barcelona travel to the Allianz Arena.
Raul (71 goals), Ruud van Nistelrooy (56) and Thierry Henry (56) trail Messi and Ronaldo.
