Turkey invites Azerbaijan to G20 summit
Turkey has invited Azerbaijan to participate in a G20 meeting to be held later this year in Turkey, Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan said Tuesday.
Babacan said that Turkey, as the president of G20, has the right to invite a non-member state to the 2015 summit to be held in Antalya, in southern Turkey, on November 15-16.
"We have invited our brotherly country, Azerbaijan, to participate in the meeting,” Babacan said.
The Group of Twenty, known also as G20, brings together the world’s 19 biggest economies plus the European Union.
During his visit to Baku, Babacan also met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister Artur Rasizade.
