Aliyev says there's huge potential for Azeri-Vietnamese coop

President Ilham Aliyev has said Vietnam and Azerbaijan have great potential to cooperate in the oil and gas sector.
In an interview with Vietnam News Agency (VNA) ahead of President Truong Tan Sang's planned visit to Azerbaijan, Aliyev said both countries have extensive experience in the area.
An agreement on strategic cooperation between Azerbaijan's national oil and gas company SOCAR and Vietnam's state oil and gas corporation PetroVietnam is
expected to offer many prospects.
An agreement signed between Azerbaijan and Vietnam on trade, scientific and technical cooperation between the two governments serves as a firm foundation for bilateral economic ties, Aliyev said.
"The two countries have also substantial potential to deepen cooperation in education, culture and tourism," he said.
