England beat Mexico to reach World Cup quarter-finals
England beat Mexico 3-2 in the last 16 of the 2026 World Cup to reach the quarter-finals. The match was played in Mexico City and was delayed by one hour because of bad weather.
Jude Bellingham scored twice for England, netting in the 36th and 38th minutes. Harry Kane added a third from the penalty spot in the 60th minute.
Mexico scored through Julian Quinones in the 42nd minute and Raul Jimenez, who converted a penalty in the 69th minute.
England defender Jarell Quansah was sent off in the 54th minute for a rough foul.
England will face Norway in the quarter-finals.
