Barcelona posts €18 million net loss despite record €1.06 billion revenue
FC Barcelona closed the 2025/26 fiscal year with an €18 million net loss, recording a deficit for the third consecutive year despite generating an all-time high revenue of €1.06 billion. The club’s official financial statement will be submitted for member approval at the General Assembly on September 19.
While ordinary operations yielded positive results, extraordinary accounting adjustments drove the bottom line into the red. The primary factor remains the impairment of assets associated with Barça Productions, the media subsidiary overseeing the club's audiovisual, digital, and entertainment operations.
The valuation of the media unit was marked down by €23 million in the concluded financial year to €116 million, with an additional €90 million write-down applied to the club's remaining 63% stake. Club officials noted that without new external investment or an intrinsic value rebound for the media venture, gradual accounting amortizations will continue to weigh on future books.
