Trump allies reportedly offered Russia ceasefire deal recognizing territorial gains – Onet

Associates of U.S. President Donald Trump have offered a confidential ceasefire proposal to Russia that would recognize Moscow’s territorial gains in Ukraine and lift most Western sanctions, Polish outlet Onet reported on Wednesday, citing unnamed sources familiar with the matter.
The reported proposal, allegedly coordinated with several European governments, outlines a ceasefire agreement rather than a comprehensive peace deal. Under the plan, formal negotiations over the status of occupied Ukrainian territories would be postponed for 49 to 99 years, Onet said.
According to the report, the proposal includes:
The de facto recognition of Russian control over annexed regions in Ukraine
A phased removal of Western sanctions against Russia
Resumption of Russian oil and gas exports to the European Union
No commitment to halt NATO enlargement
Continued U.S. military aid to Ukraine, which the sources say Russia is willing to tolerate under certain conditions
It remains unclear whether the Kremlin has responded to the proposal or if any formal negotiations are underway. U.S. and European officials have not publicly commented on the report.
Reuters could not independently verify the details of the alleged proposal.
The leak comes as Trump prepares to host a peace summit between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington and signals renewed diplomatic engagement with Moscow from his foreign policy circle.
