The White House is exploring the possibility of a three-way meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy as part of efforts to end the war in Ukraine, according to officials in Washington and Moscow.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Trump was open to meeting both leaders, while Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov confirmed that preparations were under way for a Putin-Trump summit next week at an undisclosed location. Ukrainian media reported the meeting could take place as early as next week, though no venue has been set.

Polish outlet Onet reported that Washington had conveyed to Moscow a proposal for a ceasefire without a formal peace deal, freezing the status of occupied territories for years, easing some Western sanctions and potentially resuming Russian energy exports to Europe.
