Alaska protesters rally against Putin ahead of Trump meeting

Demonstrators gathered in Anchorage on the eve of a planned meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin to protest Putin’s visit and express support for Ukraine.
Protesters waved Ukrainian flags and held banners with anti-war and pro-Ukraine slogans along city streets. Some participants voiced opposition to Putin’s presence, while others were skeptical about the expected outcome of the summit.
Similar rallies are expected in other U.S. states, Reuters reported. Some demonstrators also expressed frustration that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was not invited to attend the meeting.
