Trump says he does not believe Ukraine attacked Putin’s residence
U.S. President Donald Trump said he does not believe claims that Ukraine attacked the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump said that after reviewing the information, Washington does not believe such an attack took place, Reuters reported.
Trump explained that he initially referred publicly to Putin’s account because it was the first information he had received at the time.
Russia has accused Ukraine of attempting a drone attack on Putin’s residence in Russia’s Novgorod region. Ukraine has denied the allegations. U.S. media, citing the CIA, reported that Kyiv did not attempt to attack either Putin or his residence.
