Putin confirms meeting with Trump envoys on Ukraine talks
Russian President Vladimir Putin said he would meet on Jan. 22 with U.S. President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steven Witkoff and U.S. businessman Jared Kushner to continue talks on resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
Speaking at a meeting with Russia’s Security Council, Putin said the agenda would also include an invitation to join a “Peace Council”, the situation in Gaza, Washington’s diplomatic efforts on Ukraine and the possible use of Russian assets frozen in the United States.
He added that he also plans to discuss the issues with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
