Bill Gates expresses regret over ties to Jeffrey Epstein

Bill Gates has expressed regret over his past association with late financier Jeffrey Epstein following the release of documents by the U.S. Department of Justice.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Gates told a closed meeting that spending time with Epstein and involving leaders of his foundation in meetings with him had been a “big mistake,” apologizing to those affected.

Justice Department documents include photos of Gates with several women. Gates told employees the images were taken at Epstein’s request after meetings and said he had “never spent time with victims or women around him.”

Gates also told the Wall Street Journal he had relationships with two Russian women but said none involved Epstein’s victims. He added he had done nothing illegal and had not witnessed any unlawful activity.

The remarks are seen as Gates’ first broad public acknowledgment of regret over his ties to Epstein.
