An Armenian drone flying over Azerbaijani army positions in Adgam District east of the rebel region of Nagorno-Karabakh has been shot down, the Defense Ministry in Baku said in a statement.
The ministry posted pictures of the drone, DJI Inspire, on its website.
It was a fourth Armenian drone shot down by Azerbaijani forces in July.
Armenia captured nearly one-fifth of Azerbaijan’s internationally recognized territory, including Nagorno-Karabakh and seven surrounding districts, in a war after the breakup of the Soviet Union in 1991.
More than 30,000 people were killed and over 1 million displaced before a ceasefire was signed in 1994.
Azerbaijan has repeatedly said it reserves the right to use force to regain control of the Armenian-occupied territory should peace talks mediated by the US, Russia and France fail.
