In recent days, the positions of the Azerbaijani Army have been under intense fire by units of the Armenian armed forces on the Azerbaijan-Armenia state border.

Reported from the Ministry of Defense, that in the evening of September 5, the units of the Armenian armed forces fired from various types of firearms at the positions of Azerbaijani Army located in the direction of Zivel and Yellija settlements of Kalbajar district from their positions located in the direction of Yukhari Shorja and Azizli settlements of Basarkechar district of the state border.

Adequate response measures have been taken by Azerbaijani units in all directions.

"The military and political leadership of Armenia bears all the responsibility for the recent tensions on the Azerbaijan-Armenia state border," the Defense Ministry said.
