Bulk cash seizure at Baku airport

The employees of the Head Customs Administration on Air Transport have prevented the efforts of illegal movement of bulk cash of foreign currency.

State Customs Committee reports that Azerbaijani citizen who was planning to fly to Istanbul from Heydar Aliyev International airport did not declare to Customs authorities in advance the carried foreign currency which was mandatory.

During X-Ray security screening of the bags and outerwear  images resembling the notes appeared on the monitor. After repeated control 20300 USD has been revealed inside the bag and jacket of passenger.
