"The Armed Forces of Ukraine are already in the vicinity of Kherson, occupied by Russian troops. The roar of battles is heard in the regional center,” said Oleksiy Arestovych, an adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s office.

According to him, the defenders of the Ukrainian state are almost 20 km from Kherson. Arestovyc noted that this situation has developed even though assistance from the West has not yet arrived at the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"I have a question. You, the Kremlin, what kind of ... referendum, if the Ukrainian Armed Forces are almost 20 km from Kherson? This is the creation of virtual reality. How else can one explain that the roar of battles is already heard in Kherson more and more clearly? What referendum, excuse me, under these conditions?..” he said.
