Azerbaijan’s First Lady to run for parliament again

The Central Electoral Commission has registered First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva as a parliamentary candidate.
Mrs. Aliyeva, a deputy chairwoman of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), will run for Milli Maclis from Electoral District 4 in Baku’s Xazar district.
Azerbaijan plans to hold a parliamentary election on Nov. 1.
