Greek foreign minister to visit Azerbaijan for "political consultation"
Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met his Greek counterpart, Nikolaos Kotzias, on the sidelines of the 70th Session of the UN General Assembly, state news agency Azartac reported.
The sides hailed relations between the two countries, especially in the energy field.
Noting the successful implementation of the TANAP and TAP gas pipelines, Mammadyarov sad the projects will help expand cooperation and create new jobs. He also added the projects will change the energy landscape of the region.
The Greek foreign minister noted the existence of great potential in many fields for the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Greece.
Talking about the importance of official visits between two countries and inter-governmental commission meeting, Minister Kotzias expressed his intention to visit Azerbaijan to conduct political consultations.
