The 27-year-old singer-songwriter's tune is the first to be released from her new album, 25, and what a corker it is.

So much so, that it's received combined sales of 333,000 in the first week alone.

If that's not impressive enouhg, how about the fact that it's been streamed 7.32 million times already, making it the fastest selling track of the last 15 years.

Way to go, girl!

Adele's left other musicians quaking in their boots, who are thinking about pushing back their album release dates because of the heavyweight's new music .

There's only one other single known to have sold more in one week since the millenium - Shaggy's It Wasn't Me, which can 345,000 sales in 2001.

Didn't see that one coming...

Adele has been teasing her new album, released on Novemeber, 20, on Facebook.

She said: "My last record was a break-up record and if I had to label this one I would call it a make-up record. 25 is about getting to know who I've become without realising.

"I'm sorry it took so long, but you know, life happened."
