Azerbaijani population grew by 17,900 people

As of March 1, 2016, number of Azerbaijani population made 9,723,500, up 17,900 people or 0.2% from early 2016.
According to State Statistical Committee, density of population made 112 persons per m2. Each 1,000 men are equal to 1,007 women. 53.1% of population is in cities, 46.9% in villages, 49.8% are men, 50.2% women.
In January-Febryary 2016, 27,600 babies were born in the country. Of this, 53.2% are boys, 46.8% - girls.
9,900 deaths have been recorded in January-February 2016.
