WHO praises Azerbaijan`s efforts in eliminating malaria, measles and rubella

European Regional Verification Commission for Measles and Rubella Elimination of the World Health Organization has hailed Azerbaijan`s achieving elimination of measles in a period from January 2012 to January 2014.
In a document received by the Ministry of Health, the commission described this progress as an important contribution to eliminating measles and rubella in the European region, AzerTag reports.
In another document, the Commission also lauded Azerbaijan`s success in elimination of rubella during the reporting period.
Both documents were signed by Chairman of the European Regional Commission Gunter Pfaff.
