Iran’s IRGC warns of strikes on oil tankers across Kuwait and Bahrain ports

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy has issued an ultimatum to commercial shipping, threatening to target all oil tankers anchored or berthed in Kuwaiti and Bahraini ports following U.S. military strikes on Iranian tankers. Iranian military officials accused both Gulf nations of harboring American forces and called on tanker crews to abandon their vessels immediately. 

The escalation follows U.S. strikes directed at Iranian maritime assets near Kharg Island and the coastal port of Jask. U.S. defense officials told Fox News that the strikes are part of an expanded economic pressure campaign specifically calibrated to disable and sink Iranian crude carriers. Iranian media, including Tasnim and Fars, reported offshore explosions near Jask and Kharg Island's offshore anchorage areas. 

In response to the offshore strikes, Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters warned that any continued kinetic action against Iranian vessels would trigger direct, large-scale missile barrages against American military installations across the Middle East.
