Rumen Radev: 'President Ilham Aliyev proved that Azerbaijan is a reliable partner'

President Ilham Aliyev proved that Azerbaijan is a reliable partner, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev said at the signing of a memorandum of understanding on the development of cooperation between the gas transmission system operators of Bulgaria (Bulgartransgaz), Romania (Transgaz), Hungary (FGSZ), Slovakia (Eustream) and Azerbaijan (SOCAR).

According to Rumen Radev, the signing of the memorandum is an important achievement and an indicator of long and stable relations between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria.

"Bulgaria receives from Azerbaijan all the necessary volumes of natural gas under all agreements. Azerbaijan is also an important and trusted partner of the EU," he said.

The President of Bulgaria noted that the war in Ukraine forced the European countries to look for new ways of energy supplies.
