Del Bosque dismisses Spain critics

“I’m not going to fight against them, those people that doubt Spain’s quality,” declared Del Bosque in an interview with Radio Marca.“With all due respect, I am not going to get into an argument with anyone. I can criticise myself but I don’t like speaking in public about any deficiencies in our squad.“Personally, I prefer to concentrate on the good things. The bad things I keep to myself so I can talk about them in the dressing room.“Against France our defence played well but we were a little sluggish in attack. Against Macedonia the attack was again in good form but Iker [Casillas] had to make three very important saves.”The 63-year-old also mentioned Barcelona defender Gerard Pique, who was excluded from the squad for the France and Macedonia games.“He is just as committed, maybe even more so, as the others.
