Azerbaijan's liberated Fuzuli to host first international regatta

For the first time, Azerbaijan’s liberated Fuzuli will host an international tournament featuring academic rowing, kayaking, and canoeing today.

According to the information , the next races of the Mingachevir Regatta-2024 will take place at the Ashaghi Kondalanchay reservoir.

Athletes from Azerbaijan, along with competitors from Estonia, Georgia, Italy, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Türkiye, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan, are participating.

On the first day of the regatta, held at the Kur Olympic Training and Sports Center in Mingachevir, Azerbaijani rowers won nine medals (2 gold, 3 silver, 4 bronze).

Today, Azerbaijan marks the fourth anniversary of Fuzuli's liberation from occupation. The regatta will conclude on October 18 in Mingachevir.
