CIS leaders will gather at the end of December to summarize the year and outline plans for the future, Russian President Vladimir Putin said,  reported from Interfax.

"Traditionally, we will gather at the end of December to summarize the year's results and outline plans for the future," he said at the ceremony of presenting credentials by foreign ambassadors, which included Azerbaijan's Ambassador Rahman Mustafayev.

Putin noted that the CIS countries are "Russia's closest neighbors, dearest friends, natural strategic partners and allies."

He reminded that in 2025, the countries will jointly celebrate the 80th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War.
