Berti Vogts names his successor as Azerbaijan coach

Berti Vogts has said Qurban Qurbanov will probably take over Azerbaijan’s national football team after his contract expires.

“He probably will take the helm of the national team,” Vogts said in an interview with azerisport.com. “The man (Qurbanov) can take over even tomorrow. 

“He is very capable tactically. He has very good understanding of the game. His replacements at the match with Red Bull showed how well he does his job.”

Qurbanov coaches Agdam's FC Qarabag, which beat Salzburg 2-1 on July 30.
