Israel's ambassador to US: Netanyahu expected to visit the White House soon
21.01.2025 11:01
Israel's Ambassador to the US, Mike Herzog, said that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to visit the White House in the coming weeks.

"Discussions are taking place on the matter, but there is no final date yet," Herzog said in an interview with Walla! on the occasion of the conclusion of his term.

In addition, during the first days of Trump's presidency, he is expected to lift former president Joseph Biden's restrictions on arms sales to Israel, including one-ton bombs.

He believes that Trump will lift the Biden administration's ban on arms sales to Israel and authorize sales at the beginning of his term.

According to the ambassador, Trump is expected to lift sanctions imposed by the previous US administration against Jewish settlements in the West Bank and take action against the International Criminal Court, which on November 21, 2024, charged Netanyahu and Israel's former defense minister Yoav Gallant with war crimes issuing arrest warrants for them.
