Netanyahu says he discussed Iran talks with Trump in phone call

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he held a phone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump and discussed the progress of talks with Iran.

In a post on his X account, Netanyahu said the United States and Israel agreed that “any final agreement with Iran must eliminate the nuclear threat.”

“President Trump and I agreed that any final agreement with Iran must prevent a nuclear threat. This means dismantling Iran’s uranium enrichment facilities and removing enriched nuclear material from its territory,” Netanyahu wrote.

Trump also reaffirmed Israel’s right to defend itself against threats on all fronts, including Lebanon, according to Netanyahu.

“Our partnership has been proven on the battlefield and has never been stronger,” the Israeli prime minister added.

Netanyahu said his policy, like Trump’s, “remains unchanged: Iran will not obtain nuclear weapons.”
