The Associated Press said its journalist was denied access to the Oval Office despite a court order allowing attendance at a White House event with U.S. President Donald Trump.

“Despite the court ruling, the reporter and photographer were not allowed into the Oval Office,” the agency said in a statement. On Monday, Trump hosted Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele at the White House.

White House press officials have previously stated that only the administration has the authority to decide which journalists are granted access to presidential events.
