Barcelona crowned La Liga champions

Barcelona defeated Espanyol 2-0 in the 36th round of La Liga to secure the Spanish league title with two games to spare.

Lamine Yamal opened the scoring in the 53rd minute. Midfielder Fermín López sealed the win with a goal in stoppage time (90+6).

The Catalan side have collected 85 points, seven more than second-placed Real Madrid.

It is Barcelona’s 28th La Liga title. Only Real Madrid have more with 36.
