Azerbaijan prepares Baku beaches for summer season

Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) is finalizing preparations for the beach season in Baku.

During the event at Mardakan beach, officials demonstrated underwater cleaning operations, placement of warning signs, and readiness of rescue equipment. Since May, coastal areas have been monitored to identify unsafe zones and inform beach operators about safety requirements.

The safety measures also involve a joint initiative with the IDEA Public Union. The Water Rescue Service will switch to enhanced operations starting June 15.

The ministry called on the public to follow water safety rules.
